When Memories Fade, Postcards Remain

In my Life Story group, we talked about postcards—how they’ve all but disappeared. We didn’t know the price of a stamp 😄 That conversation got me thinking about how much I used to love getting and sending them, like the one I sent my parents from Barcelona and saved after finding it while cleaning one day.
I remembered a line from Mad Men: “The faintest ink is better than the strongest memory.” The ad was about Western Union telegrams, but it reminded of how postcards are a way to keep a moment alive.
This postcard design, featuring my grandmother’s quilt, is my way of bringing that feeling back.
📬 Who would you send a postcard to?
