Staying on Track: My Progress Plan

As I dive into this week’s tasks, I’ve developed a structured approach to ensure I stay on schedule and make the most of my time. Here’s how I plan to track my progress:

  1. Set Clear Goals: I’ve broken my research into specific, actionable tasks for each business category. For example, identifying one business in cultural merchandise and gathering data on their customer demographics. This clarity helps me stay focused and accountable.

  2. Create a Timeline: To keep myself organized, I plan to allocate specific time slots for each task throughout the week. For instance, dedicating Monday to home decor and Tuesday to textile arts. Having a clear timeline will help me manage my expectations and stay on track.

  3. Use a Progress Tracker: I’m using a simple spreadsheet to list my tasks, along with columns for findings and notes. This visual representation not only motivates me but also allows me to see my progress at a glance. If you're not using a tracker, I highly recommend it! If things get more complicated, I'll explore using a project management tool (like Smartsheet, Trello or Asana) to list my tasks and mark them as completed.

Daily Check-Ins: At the end of each day, I plan to review what I’ve accomplished and adjust my plans if necessary. This practice helps me stay agile and responsive to new insights or challenges. Reflecting on daily progress has been a game-changer.

  5. Stay Flexible: Life can be unpredictable, so I remind myself to stay adaptable. If I encounter unexpected challenges or need more time on a particular task, I adjust my schedule accordingly. Flexibility is crucial for maintaining momentum.

As I was writing this, it dawned on me that vlogging is another way to share this content. Maybe I could film a step-by-step guide on how I'm planning to track my progress, including screen captures of my tracking tools. I'm a vlogging novice so if you have any tips please share!
